Landing your first Developer Job

As I move towards the next stage of my career, I have definitely taken some time to self reflect. I previously posted an article about things I learned in my first year as a developer, but I almost feel like I skipped a step. How did I get here in the first place? Frankly, sometimes I still don’t know, but there are a few things I wanted to share, in case they might be helpful to someone else.

So that’s it. Bits of wisdom I’ve picked up from myself and from other people. I hope it helps. If you remember nothing else, remember point 10, that’s the most important, I think. Feel free to comment or post things that you’ve found helpful. I think we’re the most successful when we work together to lift each other up. I love connecting with people on LinkedIn, not just to help look for jobs, or things like that, but also because I love seeing people succeed and win, and I can be that loud cousin in the back yelling, “Aye, he did that!” or “Aye! Get it, sis!” Anyway, good luck!
