Feign Arcane

Secret and obscure.

Mysteries surround us
Secret and obscure
Cryptic messages I guess
And love that has no cure.

Mysterious and secret
Understood only by a few
Opaque without regret
Join the obscure queue.

The treasure chest in the ground
Dug deep and firmly locked
The X reads N-by-N West
Pistols are ready and cocked.

Misleading maps
Secret’s put to rest
Uncompromising traps
Who will stand the test?

Feign arcane no mysteries
Or spits of golden rain
Bound for raining miseries
False histories lead men insane.

Headed down the wrong track
To a never-never land
Washed up on a foreign shore
Death upon the sand.

Searching for secrets
Getting to the bottom
Of lies deceits and regrets
Digging up the long forgotten.

The map is a ruse
The treasure now long gone
New efforts of no use
Arcane hopes for the forlorn.
