I first knew I had an interest in photography when I won a small village competition at the age of 14. The image showcased an old door among some gravestones at a local church near me. I wish I had it to add to this post but unfortunately over the years it’s been misplaced and I can’t find it anywhere!
Anyway after that I’d often take pictures of landscapes where ever I went. I think we can all agree taking a photo of the sunset is always a go to. Here is one I took when I was on holiday in Ibiza back in 2010. I was 15/16 at the time and it was taken on a phone but I was impressed and I still love to this day.
Pictured above is another sunset photo from my family holiday in Ibiza. I remember loving the pinks and blues in the sunset contrasted with the bright yellow pedal boats. Again this was probably taken on a phone I was using at the time.
When I look back at these photos I can see where I’ve improved. As I’ve gotten older I’ve forgotton my love for this medium. I only tend to do it on holiday but why stop there?
That’s why I’ve made this blog to share my photos and experiences with a camera. And to start off with I’m going to be looking at my older photographs like the two pictured above.
See you inthe next one and Happy New Year!
