Depression can really cripple your will and as a result you will lack interest of doing pretty much anything. These are 3 things that you can do and will most likely help you ease up your life if you suffer from Depression.

I know, not everyone has the financial stability to purchase a pet. However, there are several options available for you. Like adopting a pet, asking around someone that can’t care of one anymore or visit someone that owns a pet.

The emotional discharge that you go through everyday is much easier to survive if you have a pet. You will have something to take care of and I will guarantee you will feel better when your dog licks your cheek on a day when you feel like you cannot keep going anymore.

2. Keep your mind busy by starting a hobby.

During this pandemic, there has been a spike in cases of people suffering from mental illness. One thing you can do to keep those bad thoughts from being generated by your brain is to start a hobby. Try something you always wanted to, as an example, I started a Vlog in youtube where I also talk about my struggles with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Also, I learned how to bake and made some art.

If you keep your mind busy by learning new things while having fun, you will find yourself in an interesting moment of your life. Who knows, you might even discover a passion and change your career in the process.

3. Change your diet.

Yes, you read that right. The food you consume affects your mood. Food like bananas, berries and dark chocolate are known to help with anxiety. Think about it. Would you be mad while eating a nice chocolate covered strawberry? Laughs.

I am not advising you to eat chocolate and fruit until you feel like you can conquer the world. Just mix up your diet by adding some nice nuts to your morning oatmeal.
